Dr Geoff Beeson has been Director of Geoff Beeson & Associates, Education and Training Consultants, since 1999. He was formerly Pro Vice-Chancellor and Professor at Deakin University Australia , prior to which he held a range of executive, teaching, and research positions in higher education institutions and schools.
Over the past seven years he has been involved in a wide range of projects at school, school system and tertiary levels, including evaluations, reviews, consultations, policy work and teaching and learning, both in Australia and internationally..
He was co-founder of the Australian Curriculum Studies Association, is a past president of the Australian Teacher Education Association, and in 1993 he received a Special 50th Anniversary Award from the Science Teachers Association of Victoria for contributions to science education. His research interests have included science education, student learning, teacher education, and educational administration, and he has published nationally and internationally in these areas. He has a continuing commitment to improving the quality of and access to higher education.
He holds the degrees of BSc (Melb), BEd, PhD (Monash) and is a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators, the Australian Teacher Education Association, and the Royal Society for Arts.
